Police Release Details on Woman Who Absconded from Pre-Trial Supervision

VENANGO CO.., Pa. (EYT) — The details regarding a Franklin woman who absconded from pre-trial supervision have been released.

Court documents indicate the Franklin-based State Police filed the following criminal charges against 44-year-old Shelly Lynn Prindle:

– Flight To Avoid Appreh/Trial/Punishment, Felony 3
– Theft By Deception-False Impression, Misdemeanor 1
– Receiving Stolen Property, Misdemeanor 1
– Criminal Mischief-Tamper With Property, Misdemeanor 2
– Criminal Mischief-Another Pecun Loss, Misdemeanor 2
– Scatter Rubbish Upon Land/Stream Etc, Summary

According to a criminal complaint, on September 11, Shelly Lynn Prindle was assigned to GPS monitored pre-trial supervision following a bail modification hearing that she requested.

The complaint notes that after the hearing, while going over the conditions of the monitoring, Prindle also signed a document with Venango County Court Supervision that stated she would return the GPS ankle monitor as required.

On September 15, Prindle’s pre-trial supervisor went to her residence to fix the battery in the monitor, which was running low. At that time, Prindle admitted to drug use and stated she would meet the supervisor at their office the following day, according to the complaint.

Prindle then reportedly threw the device into the woods to prevent it from being located. It was later found and recovered by Venango County Probation agents.

The complaint notes Prindle then failed to appear at the meeting the next day and here whereabouts remain unknown, the complaint notes.

Charges were filed against Prindle through Magisterial District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey’s office on September 16.

Police say an active warrant has been issued for her arrest.
