SUGARCREEK BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police say a hit and run accident occurred on Canal Drive, 63 feet south of Sugarcreek Drive, in Sugarcreek Borough, Venango County.

According to police, around 3:58 a.m. on April 5, 32-year-old Jeremy S. Kiser, of Champion, was backing up Canal Drive at a high rate of speed and traveled off the roadway over the railroad tracks.

Police say Kiser’s 1999 Ford F250 pickup bottomed out on the rails.

Kiser allegedly fled the scene, leaving the vehicle stuck on the tracks, according to police.

He was not injured in the accident, police say.

He was charged with a traffic violation.
