Police Respond to One-Vehicle Crash in Scrubgrass Township

SCRUBGRASS TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police responded to a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 in Scrubgrass Township on Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, the accident happened around 1:55 a.m. on Wednesday, September 23.

Police say 20-year-old Austin C. Shaw, of Gibsonia, was operating a 2006 Acura RL, traveling westbound on I-80 in Scrubgrass Township, Venango County, when he swerved to the right for an unknown reason.

The vehicle then continued off the roadway and struck a guide rail on the northern edge of the road. It traveled approximately 200 feet further before coming to a final rest.

Hovis Truck Service also assisted at the scene.

Shaw was cited for a traffic violation.
