Police Respond to Two-Vehicle Collision on Route 257

CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on State Route 257 in Cranberry Township on Monday morning.

According to police, around 8:35 a.m. on September 13, a two-vehicle crash occurred on State Route 257 just south of Tetmeyr Road.

Police say 34-year-old Glenn D. Gavin, of Reno, was operating a 1995 Ford F350 traveling south on State Route 257 when he struck a 2014 Chevrolet Traverse, operated by 28-year-old Lindsay J. Ison, of Oil City, that was stopped in the southbound lane waiting for a school bus that was conducting a pick-up.

Both drivers and two juvenile passengers in Ison’s vehicle were wearing seatbelts and no injuries were reported.

Both vehicles sustained disabling damage.

Seneca Volunteer Fire Department, Community Ambulance Service, and Minich’s Towing also assisted at the scene.

Gavin was cited for following too closely.
