Police Respond to Two-Vehicle Crash on Allegheny Boulevard

SUGARCREEK BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – State police responded to a two-vehicle crash that occurred early last week on Allegheny Boulevard.

According to Franklin-based State Police, the accident occurred around 4:19 p.m. on June 22, on Allegheny Boulevard at the intersection with Gibb Road in Sugarcreek Borough, Venango County.

Police say a 2013 Chrysler Town & Country, operated by 59-year-old David A. Clark, of Franklin, was traveling north on State Route 8/Allegheny Boulevard, when it came up behind a 2012 Chevrolet Traverse, operated by 26-year-old Britian N. Grieff, of Oil City, that was stopped in the northbound travel lane at the red light located at the intersection of Allegheny Boulevard and Gibb Road.

According to police, Clark swerved to the right in an attempt to avoid Grieff’s vehicle, but still struck Grieff’s vehicle.

Clark and Grieff were both using seat belts, and no injures were reported.

Rocky Grove Volunteer Fire Department, Lowry’s Towing, and Venango Towing assisted at the scene.

Clark was cited with a driver’s license violation.
