Police Seek Information on Hit-and-Run Crash in Cranberry Township

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police say a hit-and-run crash occurred on Carnes School Road, in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

The incident happened sometime between 2:00 p.m. on November 2 and 9:00 a.m. on November 3.

According to police, the crash occurred as an unknown driver was traveling south on Carnes School Road when the vehicle exited the left-hand side of the roadway, crossed the driveway of a residence, and struck the mailbox with its passenger side front bumper.

Police say the driver then reentered the roadway and fled the scene in a southbound direction.

The vehicle is believed to be a blue passenger car or SUV which is missing a passenger side blue fog light plastic housing, according to police.
