Police Seek Suspects in Rural King Theft

SUGARCREEK BORO., Pa. (EYT) – Police are asking the public for information regarding an incident of theft from Rural King last week.

According to Sugarcreek Borough Police, a report of theft was received from the manager of Rural King, located at 491 Allegheny Boulevard, in Franklin, Venango County.

Police say the incident occurred around 12:54 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27, as an unknown male and female entered the store parking lot in a “newer gray Honda Ridgeline.” Upon exiting the vehicle, the suspects entered the store and the male suspect unpackaged three Gerber knives and allegedly concealed them on his person.

The male suspect then allegedly proceeded to check out at the cash register without purchasing the knives. The pair then returned to the vehicle and left the scene, police said.

The male was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. The female suspect was wearing a light-colored bandana, a blue collared flannel t-shirt with a black long sleeve undershirt, and blue jeans.
