Police Seeking Information on Theft of Nintendo Switch Game System in Sandycreek Township

SANDYCREEK TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police are asking the public for information on the theft of a Nintendo Switch game system in Sandycreek Township.

Police say the incident was reported after a known eight-year-old male victim from Oil City realized his Nintendo Switch was missing from his backpack after he got home from school on May 2.

According to police, the victim and the complainant believe the game system was stolen due to the suspect using the device on an online game.

The items stolen include a Nintendo Switch Fortnite Edition valued at $350.00, the Nintendo games Sonic/Mario Cart and Odyssey/Super Smash Brothers valued at a total of $160.00, and a 64GB SD card valued at $20.00.

The investigation is ongoing.
