Area Man Injured in Mineral Township Crash

MINERAL TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A Stoneboro man was injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred on Jackson Center Polk Road on Friday evening.

According to Franklin-based State Police, 30-year-old Kenneth A. Wheeler, of Franklin, and 50-year-old Kenneth C. Botts, of Stoneboro, were involved in the collision that happened around 5:23 p.m. on Friday, September 18.

According to police, a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox, operated by Botts, slowed down to enter a residential driveway on Jackson Center Polk Road (State Route 965) in Mineral Township, Venango County. Wheeler did not observe the Equinox slowing down in time and struck the rear end of it with his 2003 Dodge RAM 2500 pickup.

Community Ambulance Service transported Botts to Grove City Hospital for injuries of unknown severity. He was using a seat belt.

Wheeler was also using a seat belt and was not injured.

He was charged with a traffic violation.

Community Ambulance Service, Polk Volunteer Fire Department, and Lowry’s Towing assisted at the scene.
