Rocky Grove Ends Season With Loss to Kennedy Catholic

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — Kennedy Catholic’s big bats were too much for the Orioles in a 14-8 loss for Rocky Grove in the District 10 Class A Finals, ending their playoff campaign.

The Orioles trailed 4-2 after four innings, but Kennedy Catholic exploded for eight runs in the fifth to pull away with the game. Rocky Grove came back late, taking advantage of walks to fend off the 10-run rule, but were unable to fully erode Kennedy Catholic’s large lead.

The Golden Eagles outhit Rocky Grove 20-4 in the win. Santino Multari led Kennedy Catholic with four hits. Reese Henderson had a pair of hits for the Orioles in the loss.
