OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – The Wyattville Bridge on Route 322 in Venango County will close at 12:01 AM, June 1 for rehabilitation work.

The bridge is located on Route 322 over Sugar Creek in Sugarcreek Borough, just west of the intersection with Route 427 and one and a half miles east of the intersection with Utica Road (Route 3017).

During the closure, there will be two posted detours – a car detour and a truck detour.

The car detour will be posted using Utica Road, Buttermilk Hill Road, and Sugarcreek Drive.

The truck detour will be posted using Route 173, Route 62 and Route 8.

The closure is necessary to complete rehabilitation work to extend the service life of the bridge and give motorists a smoother ride. Work will include replacement of the bridge superstructure – the beams and deck.

The project is expected to be completed by September 29, 2016.

PennDOT urges motorists to slow down when driving in work zones, and also to be alert to changing conditions, avoid distractions and to pay attention to signs and flaggers. Drive responsibly in work zones for your safety and the safety of the workers.
