guthSally L. Guth, 68, of Franklin, passed away unexpectedly at 3:48 a.m. on Monday, March 30th, at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh.

Born January 30, 1947 in Franklin, Sally was the daughter of the late Jack H. and Lillian Elizabeth Keane Gordon.

She was a 1964 graduate of Rocky Grove High School.

Sally retired from the Spartansburg Journal in South Carolina, where she worked as a custodian.

She was a devout religious individual, who quietly kept her faith to herself. Sally enjoyed spending time with her family and her daughter’s many friends – she was considered “Mom” by many.

She was a NASCAR fan. Sally also a loved her “furry” son, “Spunky”; her “furry” grandson, “Tanner”; and her “gabby-girl”.

Sally is survived by her husband, Wallace E. Widmyer of Spartansburg, SC; her daughter, Meda Lawrence of Franklin; and her grandson, Matthew Maldonado of Oil City. She is also survived by her twin sister, Carol Reinsel of Franklin; and her two nieces, Darla Dodds and Michele Blunt.
