State Police Asking Public for Information on Hit-and-Run Crash

CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police are seeking information regarding a hit-and-run accident that occurred on Thursday afternoon.

According to police, the crash happened on State Route 257, near Tassone’s Pizza, in Cranberry Township, Venango County, on Thursday, May 19, around 2:55 p.m.

According to police, the suspect vehicle rear-ended a vehicle operated by 53-year-old Sandra L. Weckerly, of Seneca.

The suspect failed to stop and exchange information with Weckerly before fleeing south on State Route 257.

The vehicle in question is described as a gold Chevrolet Silverado crew cab with a ladder rack.

The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male, wearing a red t-shirt and a white ball cap.

Weckerly was using a seat belt and was not injured.
