State Police Calls: Theft, DUI, Retail Theft

VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Theft in Pleasantville Borough

Franklin-based State Police say a known 58-year-old female victim from Pleasantville Borough reported that two weeks’ worth (14 tablets) of medication was taken from her residence on Second Street by an unknown individual sometime between September 1 and September 22.

The investigation is ongoing.

DUI in Irwin Township

Around 7:56 p.m. on September 22, Franklin-based State Police were dispatched to Old Route 8 in Irwin Township, Venango County, for a report of an erratic driver.

Troopers were then able to make contact with the driver in question, identified as a 28-year-old Titusville woman.

Police say the driver showed physical signs of impairment, and after being asked to step out of her vehicle, could barely stand up on her own.

According to police, the driver admitted to consuming alcohol prior to driving and was subsequently placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence.

Charges are pending lab test results.

The name of the woman was not released.

Retail Theft in Cranberry Township

Around 5:15 p.m. on September 22, Franklin-based State Police were dispatched to a known business in Cranberry Township for a report of a woman shoplifting.

According to police, at the scene, troopers spoke with the woman involved, identified as a 28-year-old Franklin woman, and she admitted she had removed items from the store with no intention of paying for them.

Charges are pending.

The name of the woman was not released.
