State Police Calls: DUI Incidents

VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police responded to the following calls:

DUI in Cranberry Township

Around 1:58 p.m. on February 25, Franklin-based State Police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a code violation on U.S. 322 near Deep Hollow Road in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

Police say the driver, identified as a 37-year-old Franklin woman, was found to be under the influence and in possession of illegal controlled substances.

The driver was subsequently placed under arrest for DUI and drug possession.

The name of the driver was not released.

DUI in Sugarcreek Borough

Court documents indicate the Franklin-based State Police filed the following criminal charges against 23-year-old Dreux Courtney Harper, of Cochranton, on February 22:

– DUI: General Impairment (BAC .08 — .10) 1st Offense, Misdemeanor
– DUI: General Impairment/Incapable of Driving Safely — 1st Offense, Misdemeanor
– Fail to use safety belt — driver and front seat occupant, Summary
– Careless Driving, Summary
– Disregard Traffic Lane (Single), Summary
– Depositing Waste On Highway, Summary
– Investigation By Officer/Duty Of Operator, Summary
– Fail To Carry Registration, Summary
– Restrictions on Alcoholic Beverages, Summary
– Reckless Driving, Summary

The charges stem from an incident in Sugarcreek Borough on January 18.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on March 24, with Magisterial District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey presiding.
