State Police Calls: Area Elementary Student Threatens to ‘Shoot Everyone on the School Bus’

BUTLER/FOREST CO., Pa. (EYT) – Area state police responded to the following incidents: 

Area Elementary Student Threatens to “Shoot Everyone on the School Bus”

Around 5:30 p.m. on Monday, January 23, PSP Butler responded to Dassa McKinney Elementary School on Hooker Road in Concord Township, Butler County, for a report of terroristic threats by a known juvenile.

Police say the complainant received a message from a parent of another student at school stating that the known juvenile had stated that he was going to bring his dad’s gun tomorrow and shoot everyone on the school bus.

After a “thorough investigation,” it was determined that the known juvenile did not have access to any guns, police say.

Corrections Officer Assaulted by Inmate at SCI Forest

Marienville-based State Police are investigating an incident of assault at SCI Forest on Woodland Drive in Jenks Township, Forest County, around 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18.

Police say a known inmate assaulted a corrections officer.

The victim is a 45-year-old male.

The investigation continues.
