State Police Calls: Drug Possession, Theft

VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Drug Possession in Sandycreek Township

Around 2:34 p.m. on July 13, Franklin-based State Police visited the residence of a known 42-year-old Franklin man on Congress Hill Road in Sandycreek Township, Venango County.

Police say drug paraphernalia was then found in plain view located in an open backpack.

The suspect was then detained and a search of the backpack subsequently located four hypodermic syringes, a black and white zipper pouch that contained 18 clear ziplock baggies, a magnifying glass, and a small clear bag of suspected methamphetamine.

The name of the suspect was not released.

Theft in Cranberry Township

Franklin-based State Police say around 9:18 p.m. on August 2, a known suspect stole a Taylor acoustic guitar, valued at $1,000.00, from a known 26-year-old Franklin man’s house on Route 62 in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

According to police, the guitar was subsequently recovered from the suspect’s residence and returned to the victim, who did not wish to pursue charges.

The name of the suspect was not released.
