State Police Calls: Drunk Man Falls into Lake, Theft of Electric Meter, DUI Arrest

VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) – Area state police responded to the following calls:

Public Drunkenness in Oakland Township

Around 7:05 p.m. on April 6, Franklin-based State Police responded to Two Mile Run County Park for a report of an intoxicated male who had fallen into the lake and had to be pulled out by people fishing there.

Police say at the scene, they made contact with the individual, identified as a 63-year-old Oil City man, and found he was highly intoxicated and admitted to being drunk.

The man was subsequently cited for public intoxication through District Court 28-3-01.

The name of the man was not released.

Theft in Victory Township

Around 5:32 p.m. on March 21, Franklin-based State Police were dispatched to the 5700 Block of State Route 308 for a report of theft of an electric meter from a 68-year-old male victim from Polk’s property.

The investigation is ongoing.

DUI in Jenks Township

Around 10:33 p.m. on April 6, Marienville-based State Police made contact with a known 36-year-old Titusville man whose vehicle had traveled off the roadway on Dam Lane near Beaver Meadows Road in Jenks Township, Forest County.

Police say through the course of the investigation, it was suspected that the individual had been operating his vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance.

Charges are pending blood test results.

The name of the suspect was not released.
