State Police Calls: Police Investigating After Lug Nuts Stolen from Jeep, Identity Theft

VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Theft from Motor Vehicle in Cranberry Township

According to police, around 2:14 p.m. on September 1, unknown individual(s) removed the lug nuts from an unregistered 1989 Jeep on a property on US 322 near Deep Hollow Road in Cranberry Township, Venango County, and then fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The victim is listed as a known 60-year-old Franklin man.

Police say the lug nuts are valued at $20.00.

Theft by Deception/Identity Theft in Cranberry Township

Police say on August 30, a known 43-year-old male victim from Seneca received a letter in the mail from Wells Fargo indicating his account was to be closed.

According to police, the victim reported he never opened an account at Wells Fargo and believes his identity was used without his permission.

Police say a claim has also been filed with Wells Fargo.
