State Police Calls: Troopers Investigating Identity Theft, Two Jailed for Receiving Stolen Property

Area state police responded to the following incidents:

Troopers Investigating Identity Theft

Mercer-based State Police are investigating a report of theft by deception near Cranberry Road in Deer Creek Township, Mercer County.

According to police, unknown actor(s) gained access to the identity of a 44-year-old woman, of Sandy Lake, around 5:02 p.m. on November 27.

Police say the actor(s) proceeded to open a Verizon Wireless cell phone account using the victim’s personal information.

Two Jailed on Felony Theft Charges

Two men have been jailed on felony theft charges from an incident that occurred on November 28 in Sparta Township, Crawford County.

According to court documents, Corry-based State Police filed criminal charges against 22-year-old Tristian Kendall Geurian, of Elkhart, Indiana, and 18-year-old Daymian Andrue Ramirez, of Meadville, in Magisterial District Judge Amy L. Nichols’ office on November 28.

They each face the following charge:

– Receiving Stolen Property, Felony 3

Unable to post $100,000.00 monetary bond, Geurian was placed in the Crawford County Jail.

He faces a preliminary hearing on December 13, at 10:30 a.m., in front of Judge Nichols.

Ramirez was jailed in lieu of $5,000.00 monetary bond.

His preliminary hearing is set for 11:30 a.m. on December 12, with Judge Nichols presiding.
