State Police Calls: Woman Accused of Harassment

Area state police responded to the following incidents:

Altercation Leads to Arrest of 22-Year-Old Woman

A 22-year-old woman from Tidioute has been arrested following an incident of physical harassment and criminal mischief in Hickory Township, according to a public information release from the Pennsylvania State Police’s Marienville patrol unit.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:30 PM on January 18, 2024, at the intersection of Church Hill Road and Route 62. The victim, a 61-year-old woman from Tionesta, was reportedly approached by the arrestee at her vehicle’s driver side window.

Police report that the young woman pushed the victim, then took the victim’s glasses and threw them to the ground. The eyewear, valued at $500, was damaged in the incident.

Trooper J. Schmader, who led the investigation, reviewed video surveillance of the incident. The footage confirmed the details provided by the victim. Subsequently, two non-traffic citations were filed through Magisterial District Judge 37-4-93 for criminal mischief and harassment.

The investigation is ongoing.

Teenagers Facing Charges for Alcohol Possession

Five teenagers, including two minors, were charged with underage possession of alcohol in Mercer County, according to a report released by the Pennsylvania State Police’s Mercer patrol unit.

The incident occurred at approximately 2:10 PM on February 4, 2024, at 193 Lyons Road in Lake Township. All of the accused, who are under the age of 21, were reportedly in possession of alcohol.

The individuals charged include a 17-year-old male and a 16-year-old male, both from Jackson Center, a 17-year-old male from Greenville, a 19-year-old male from Stoneboro, and a 19-year-old from Mercer.

Trooper R. Fagley, who led the investigation, confirmed that all were charged with underage possession of alcohol in district court.
