State Police Respond to Two-Vehicle Collision on Route 322

WAYNE TWP., Pa. (EYT) — State Police in Meadville responded to a two-vehicle collision in Wayne Township last Friday involving a Franklin man.

According to a release issued by PSP Meadville on Thursday, June 1, the crash occurred at 6:14 p.m. on Friday, May 26, at the intersection of U.S. Route 322 and State Route 173, in Wayne Township, Crawford County.

Police say 43-year-old Mathew J. Wilson, of Franklin, attempted a left-hand turn onto Route 322 in his 1979 Ford F350 Custom pickup without clearing the intersection.

Wilson’s vehicle was struck by a 2016 Ford operated by 47-year-old Jesse W. McCullough, of Cochranton that was traveling southbound on Route 322.

Both Wilson and McCullough were using seat belts and were not injured.

Both vehicles sustained disabling damage.

Police were assisted on the scene by Cochranton Volunteer Fire Department and AutoWorx Towing.

According to police, Wilson was charged with a traffic violation.
