State Police Seek Information in 2011 Death of Oil City Man

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police are seeking the public’s help in connection with the 2011 death of an Oil City man.

On July 19, 2011, State Police reported that the body of Toochukwu “Tony” Nwokedi, of Oil City, was found in the Allegheny River around 7:30 that morning.

Mr. Nwokedi’s family had reported him missing two days prior to the discovery.

Autopsy results did not reveal any signs of trauma.

A representative with Franklin-based State Police told exploreVenango.com that investigators are still seeking the public’s help in connection with Mr. Nwokedi’s death.
