UNION TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Police say one person is in custody following a fatal shooting on Tuesday evening near Union City.

Around 5:53 p.m. on January 26, Corry-based State Police were dispatched to a private residence on Parker Road, in Union Township, Erie County, for a report of a shooting.

Police say at the scene, they found a known individual deceased. The identity of the individual has not been released.

According to police, a person of interest in the shooting is currently in custody and there is no known threat to the community.

The investigation is ongoing.

The name of the suspect was not released.
