IRWIN TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police say a one-car crash occurred on Saturday evening, on Georgetown Road, in Irwin Township, Venango County.

According to police, around 5:06 p.m. on December 30, a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling east on Georgetown Road and negotiating a right curve. The driver — 19-year-old Chadwick A. Davis, of Grove City — lost control of the car and corrected it. It then fish-tailed back and forth missing the witness in the vehicle in the oncoming lane.

The car then went off the roadway on the south side, through a ditch, up an embankment, and rolled onto its roof. It then slid approximately 70 feet on the shoulder of the roadway before coming to its final rest.

Davis was using a seat belt. He suffered suspected minor injuries.

He was charged with a traffic violation.

Clintonville Volunteer Fire Department and Polk Police Department assisted at the scene.

Hovis Towing removed the vehicle from the scene.
