The Friends of the Transit are proud to present their third annual Art Appreciation Award to the arts volunteer of the year in recognition of their contributions to helping art thrive in Oil City.

The presentation will take place during an evening of artistic fun at Graffiti Gallery on Saturday, November 9 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Graffiti Gallery is located in the National Transit Annex, 210 Seneca Street, Oil City.

Artists and friends of the arts will enjoy light refreshments while watching the creation of works of “speed painting” with a 15-minute time limit.

The finished artwork, as well as many other items, will be prizes in a silent auction.

Wine glasses will be available for the guests to embellish so that they may have the opportunity to express their artistic flair.

The evening’s musical accompaniment will be provided by songwriter and guitarist Jerome Wincek.

The evening is free and open to the public.

All of the proceeds from the auction are for the benefit of the arts programs in the National Transit Building.
