Three Teens Jailed After Beating 16-Year-Old with Broom Handle

HandcuffsSANDYCREEK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police are investigating an assault that happened around 2:50 p.m. on April 5 at Vision Quest on South Penn Road, in Sandycreek Township, Venango County.

According to police, 19-year-old Shymid Nasir Rivers; 18-year-old Marcus Jerome Smith; and 18-year-old Derrick Andrew McFarland are accused of beating a 16-year-old male with a broom handle causing moderate injuries.

All three of the accused were placed in Venango County Jail on $30,000.00 cash bail.
