Titusville Chamber Director Emily Altomare to be Honored at Oil Region Alliance Annual Members’ Meeting

TITUSVILLE, Pa. — Emily Altomare, Executive Director of the Titusville Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Erie to Pittsburgh Trail Alliance will be honored at the Oil Region Alliance Annual Members’ Meeting.

Ms. Altomare will be recognized as the Alliance “Volunteer of the Year” for 2015, and the Erie to Pittsburgh Trail Alliance will be honored as “Partner of the Year.”

Ms. Altomare was named “Volunteer of the Year” for her efforts on the Alliance’s Tourism Advisory Council since 2013. She has helped provide and write content for the Oil Region Visitor Guide and assisted at numerous work sessions and tour days at the Tarbell House, a historic property owned by the Oil Region Alliance. She is also a clear spokesperson in the Titusville area for the Oil Region Alliance organization, its activities, and mission.

The Erie to Pittsburgh Trail Alliance (EPTA) was chosen as “Partner of the Year.” Ron Steffey currently serves as the president of this group that was formed in 2007 and since that time as been a valued partner of the Oil Region Alliance. EPTA is an active coalition of trail organizations and individuals dedicated to the acquisition, development, and maintenance of a safe non-motorized trails network that connects the “Point” in Pittsburgh to the “Bayfront” in Erie. EPTA encourages information exchanges among all its members and includes representatives of the Oil Region Alliance on panels and programs at various conferences, forums and training sessions.

The Alliance Annual Meeting will be held on Thursday, September 22 at Wanango Golf Club in Reno. A buffet breakfast will be served at 8 a.m. and the Program and Meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. The Agenda also includes a Pictorial Review of 2015 Events, Election of Board Members and acknowledgment of Major Members.

The public is welcome to attend and learn more about this non-profit agency that serves as the region’s lead Economic Development Agency, Tourist Promotion Agency, and Heritage Area Manager. There is no fee to attend. Reservations are required; they are due by September 15 and may be made by calling the Alliance office at 800-483-6264.
