Titusville Man Airlifted After Crashing Motorcycle Into Pickup Truck at High Rate of Speed
HYDETOWN BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – A local man was rushed to a hospital with serious injuries after his motorcycle collided head-on with a pickup truck in Crawford County.
According to Corry-based State Police, 23-year-old Taylor A. Gates, of Titusville, was traveling east on Gresham Road in Hydetown Borough, Crawford County, around 6:54 p.m. on Monday, September 11.
Police say a Gates lost control of his 199 KTM 30EXC motorcycle due to a high rate of speed.
Gates then crashed into a 2016 Ford F-150XLT operated by 49-year-old Daniel D. Schulz, of Jackson Center, which was approaching in the opposite lane.
Gates suffered suspected serious injuries and was airlifted to UPMC Hamot by STAT MedEvac.
He was wearing a helmet.
Schulz was using a seat belt and was not injured.
According to police, Gates was charged with a traffic violation.
