Titusville Woman Accused of Hit and Run in Oakland Township

OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — According to Franklin-based State Police, a hit and run accident occurred on Cherrytree Road, east of State Route 428, in Oakland Township, Venango County.

Police say around 8:30 p.m. on July 17, 47-year-old Silke K. Nason, of Titusville, was traveling south on Cherrytree Road and lost control of her 1997 Honda Civic by fishtailing on the dirt road.

The car impacted a utility pole on the left side of the roadway, causing multiple airbags to deploy, according to police.

Nason “then fled the scene of the crash,” according to police.

According to a witness, “the driver of the crash appeared to be traveling too fast,” police say.

The witness stated that “the driver was a female that appeared to be middle age,” according to police.

It is unknown if Nason suffered any injuries in the crash, police say.

Nason will be charged with multiple citations, according to police.
