Two Accused of Assaulting, Robbing Woman in Oil City

CORNPLANTER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — According to Franklin-based State Police, a theft and assault occurred on Hillcrest Avenue, in Cornplanter Township, Venango County.

Police say around 12:46 p.m. on July 15, a known 18-year-old Oil City male allegedly physically assaulted an 18-year-old female during a dispute.

Additionally, a known juvenile stole money out of the victim’s purse, according to police.

A written allegation was filed in the Venango County Court of Common Pleas 28th Judicial District charging the juvenile with Simple Assault, police say.

A criminal complaint was filed with District Judge Andrew F. Fish charging Stephens with Theft.
