Two Men Suspected of Theft of Mountain Bike in Oil City

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police say a theft occurred on West First Street, in Oil City, Venango County.

According to police, two known perpetrators — a 21-year-old Seneca man and a 21-year-old Venus man — removed a 21 speed mountain bicycle from a residence at the above described location and rode it along the bike trail towards Franklin.

At the 8th Street Bridge Fruit Stand, the perpetrator(s) removed an unknown quantity of fruit from the unattended stand, police say.

The incident occurred sometime between 3:00 p.m. and 9:27 p.m. on July 12, 2015.

The investigation is continuing.

The names of the suspects were not released.

No other information was provided.
