CORNPLANTER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police say a two-vehicle accident occurred on Cherry Run Road, west of Grandview Road, in Cornplanter Township, Venango County.

According to police, 18-year-old Jack D. Russell, of Oil City, and 53-year-old Michael D. Hall, of Youngsville, were involved in the collision.

Police say this crash occurred when Russell was negotiating a right hand curve on Cherry Run Road, and his 2000 Ford Taurus began to slide on the roadway.

Russell’s car then crossed the centerline, traveled into the northbound lane, and struck Hall’s 2000 Freightliner semi-truck/flatbed trailer, according to police.

Both drivers were using seat belts, and no injuries were reported, police say.

Russell was charged with a traffic violation, according to police.
