JACKSON TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police say a two-vehicle accident occurred Friday around 2:55 p.m. on Cooperstown Road, in Jackson Township, Venango County.

According to police, 29-year-old Shawn M. Goodman, of Oil City, and 50-year-old Theodore J. Bruner, of Cooperstown, were involved in the collision.

Police say Goodman was traveling east on Cooperstown Road in a 1999 Honda Civic, and Bruner was traveling west in a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado pickup. The roadway was partially snow-covered.

Goodman was traveling too fast in his car, failed to negotiate a right hand curve in the road, and traveled into the westbound lane and struck Bruner’s pickup, according to police.

Both drivers and two teen passengers in Bruner’s vehicle were using seat belts, and no injuries were reported.

Goodman was charged with a traffic violation.

Cooperstown Volunteer Fire Department and Lowry’s Towing assisted at the scene.
