ALBION, Pa. (EYT/D9) — It was a bittersweet night for Ethen Knox and Oil City.

The junior back, who is leading the nation in rushing yards per game had another big performance, rumbling for 428 yards and three touchdowns, but the Oilers were upset on the road at Northwestern, 21-20.

It was the fourth consecutive 400-yard rushing game for Knox, who is now just a shade under 2,000 yards on the season through five weeks. His four 400-yard games in a single season is a PIAA record.

Knox’s first TD run covered 87 yards that put the Oilers up 8-7.
