Police Release Details on Vehicle Collision with Plow Truck in Franklin

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin Police say on December 24, a Franklin man was involved in a collision with a plow truck at the intersection of Taylor Street and Washington Street, in Franklin, Venango County.

According to police, Joseph Padilla-Vargus, of Franklin, was operating his vehicle at a speed too great for the snow-covered roads and was not able to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Taylor Street and Washington Street.

His vehicle slid through the intersection and collided with a City of Franklin Street Department plow truck, police say.

Both vehicles sustained light damage, and there were no injuries.

Padilla-Vargus was charged with the following offenses:

-Driving Under Suspension Habitual Offender
-No Insurance
-Stop Sign and Yield Sign Violations
-Driving Vehicle at (un)Safe Speed
-Careless Driving

He was charged via summons.
