TRIUMPH TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Warren-based State Police say a DUI crash occurred on State Route 127, approximately 5/10 mile west of Campbell Hill Road, in Triumph Township, Warren County.

According to police, around 12:19 a.m. on July 21, 53-year-old Donald Charles Gesin, of Tidioute, was traveling west on SR 127 and lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a right hand curve in the roadway.

Police say Gesin’s vehicle traveled approximately 300 feet in a northwestern direction, crossing both lanes of travel, and striking a bridge on the south side of the roadway.

The impact with the bridge caused the vehicle to spin counterclockwise and travel backwards in a northeastern direction approximately 30 feet before coming to a final rest in the middle of both lanes of travel facing west, according to police.

During the investigation, it was determined that Gesin was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, police say.

Charges of DUI and traffic violations were filed against Gesin through District Court 37-4-01, according to police.

No other information was provided.
