ALLEGHENY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Police say a driver went off the roadway and slammed into a tree along Tionesta Road in Allegheny Township on Monday evening.
According to police, around 6:06 p.m. on September 13, a one-vehicle crash occurred on Tionesta Road just north of Old Warren Pike.
Police say a known 29-year-old male from Erie, whose name was not released, was operating a 2018 Honda CRV traveling on Tionesta Road when his vehicle left the roadway for unknown reasons and struck a ditch and then a tree that was on the ground in the woods. The vehicle then continued through the woods and struck a tree head-on before coming to a final rest on the left side of the roadway.
The driver was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.
the vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene by Shambaugh’s Towing.
