Verbal Argument Turns Physical; Two Seneca Residents Arrested for Assault

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — According to Franklin-based State Police, an assault occurred on Carnes School Road, in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

Police say 48-year-old Traci Deeter and 46-year-old Edward Bodien, both of Seneca, allegedly entered into a verbal argument which turned physical in nature.

According to police, both Deeter and Bodien allegedly struck each other several times which led to both being injured.

Bodien also allegedly struck a 19-year-old male bystander in the head three times, police say. The teen was uninjured.

During the course of this incident, Deeter allegedly broke Bodien’s truck windshield out with a stick.

The incidents described above occurred sometime between 3:30 p.m. on July 17 and 2:30 on July 18.

Deeter was charged with the following offenses:

– Simple Assault
– Harassment
– Criminal Mischief

Bodien was charged with the following offenses:

– Simple Assault
– two counts of Harassment

Both individuals were arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Dinberg and placed in the Venango County Jail.

No other information was provided.
