25-Year-Old Warren County Man Jailed on Drug Possession, Intent to Deliver

WARREN COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) — Warren-based State Police say a Youngsville man was arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop on State Route 6 westbound, just west of the Forge Curve, in Brokenstraw Township, Warren County.

According to police, around 3:37 p.m. on September 29, a traffic stop was conducted for a speed violation at the above violation.

Upon making contact with the driver, he gave a false name. After further investigation, the driver was found to be 25-year-old Jeremiah James Kays, of Youngsville, police say.

Kays had an active warrant from State Parole and was taken into custody.

Upon searching the vehicle, drugs and paraphernalia were allegedly found, along with a digital scale and baggies, according to police.

Kays was transported to the Warren County Jail on a detainer from State Parole.

Charges were filed against Kays for the following offenses:

– Conspiracy — Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
– Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor
– False Identification To Law Enforcement Officer, Misdemeanor 3
– Driving While Operating Privileges Suspended Or Revoked, Summary
– Exceed 55 MPH In Other Loc By 17 MPH, Summary
– Failure to use safety belt — driver and front seat occupant, Summary

Unable to post $50,000.00 bail, Kays was lodged in the Warren County Prison Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on October 8, in front of Magisterial District Judge Cynthia K. Lindemuth.
