VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) — An Oil City woman who was reportedly found outside a local business wearing only an unzipped winter coat and shoes was held for court on Wednesday.

Court documents indicate the following charges against 25-year-old Ashley Marie Caldwell were held for court on January 20:

– Indecent Exposure, Misdemeanor 1
– Open Lewdness, Misdemeanor 3
– Public Drunkenness And Similar Misconduct, Summary
– Disorderly Conduct Hazardous/Physical Offense, Summary

The charges have been transferred to the Venango County Court of Common Pleas.

Caldwell remains lodged in the Venango County Jail on $5,000.00 monetary bail.

The charges stem from an incident in Oil City in early January.

Details of the case:

According to a criminal complaint, around 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 2, Oil City Police were dispatched to the Northside Country Fair for a report of a female walking around with no clothing on.

Police responded to the scene, where they reportedly found a woman, later identified as Ashley Marie Caldwell, leaning against the wall by the door of the business wearing only an unzipped winter jacket and shoes.

According to the complaint, when questioned, Caldwell stated she did not know where her clothes were and said she had been dropped off in the parking lot across from Country Fair. She was unable to provide details about who dropped her off or when they dropped her off and was slurring her words.

Caldwell told police she had a “blood infection” and could “feel it.” She also stated that “she was bleeding, and it was running down her legs,” the complaint states.

Police then requested Rescue 7 to respond to the scene, and Caldwell was then transported by ambulance for evaluation.

When questioned, Caldwell admitted to having used methamphetamine within the last three days, the complaint notes.

She was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Matthew T. Kirtland at 7:00 a.m. on January 3.
