SUGARCREEK TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Police say a woman was injured in a suspected DUI rollover crash in Sugarcreek Borough on Saturday.

According to police, around 4:39 p.m. on January 23, a one-vehicle crash occurred on Patchel Run Road.

Police say 21-year-old Laura A. Drake, of New Castle, was operating a 2017 Chevrolet Malibu, traveling north on Patchel Run Road when the vehicle left the roadway, struck a ditch, and went airborne for 35 feet. It then went an additional five feet before the front end caught an embankment, causing it to flip over onto its roof, then land on its driver’s side blocking the right lane of travel.

Drake was wearing a seatbelt.

She suffered suspected minor injuries and was transported to UPMC Northwest by Community Ambulance Service.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by Minich’s Towing.

Rocky Grove Volunteer Fire Department also assisted at the scene.

Police say DUI charges are pending lab test results.
