YMCA to Host Trunk-or-Treat Event in Hasson Heights on October 30

OIL CITY, Pa. – The Oil City YMCA will host their second annual “Trunk-or-Treat” event on Saturday, October 30, 2021.  The event is free and open to the entire community.

Trunk-or-Treat will be held outdoors in the Hasson Heights Dek Hockey Rink parking lot from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on October 30 for area youth – age birth to 15.

Youth will Trick-or-Treat through the parking lot, stopping at each vehicle to receive treats.  All trunks will be decorated for fall and/or Halloween.  Families are encouraged to dress in costume to enjoy the event together.

Various community organizations will be providing treats for kids including the YMCA, Oil City Fire, Oil City Police, Oil City Public Works, CASA of Venango, Autism Tough, Community Ambulance, and others. More than twenty organizations will be passing out candy.

Anyone wishing to participate in the event with a trunk should contact Sarah Schwab at officemgr@oilcityymca.org.  Candy donations are appreciated and are being accepted at the YMCA.

The YMCA hours are Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Saturdays 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; and closed on Sundays (seasonally).
