OIL CITY, Pa. — The Oil City YMCA will host a veteran and Senior Open House on Thursday, November 11.

The event will honor local veterans and seniors with a coffee and dessert bar.  Veterans and seniors will be able to tour the facility, visit with others, enjoy coffee and desserts, plus join the Y.  The YMCA will waive the activation fee for those joining on Thursday, November 11.

Many older adults may qualify for a free membership through their insurance.  Anyone interested in having their insurance checked for this benefit may stop by the YMCA from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 11.

The YMCA offers plenty of activities for older adults including water exercise, group exercise programs for older adults, pickleball, open swim, wellness classes, coffee and chat, and use of wellness center, plus more.

The YMCA hours are Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Saturdays 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; and closed on Sundays (seasonally).
